Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 5 Pro both receive stable updates to Android 9 Pie

Back in March, Xiaomi began sending Android beta builds 9 Pie updates to interested testers in India for both the Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi Note 5 Pro. And now it looks like all the bugs are ironed out, because for both devices the stable update rolls out.

It arrives over-the-air in India as the Redmi 6 Pro’s MIUI 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM weighs at 1.6 GB. 

This release includes the level of security patch in May 2019.

You also get App lock face unlock support, the ability to stay on the lock screen after using face unlock and restrict the lock screen’s notification shade opening. As you would expect, there is also plenty of bug fixes built-in.

Both updates roll out in stages, so it may take some time before the notification appears on your particular device. Xiaomi promised to get Android Pie around June for the Redmi Y2.
