A happy day for the Lenovo makers for their ThinkPad has turned 25!. Wishing it a very happy birthday! This day has a very special significance for the Lenovo industry and therefore they will celebrate it. Lenovo’s iconic laptop’s 25th birthday will be marked by an event in Japan as the company rolls out a special edition of the device that spurred corporate mobility. The ThinkPad was created by IBM — later on handed over to Lenovo. Lenovo has already teased a future ThinkPad prototype that bends and folds like a book. This ThinkPad isn’t anywhere near production, but the prototype was quite the concept laptop. ThinkPad is a line of laptop computers and tablets developed by Lenovo. The series was designed, developed, and sold by IBM until Lenovo acquired the division and brand in 2005. ThinkPads are known for their minimalist, black and boxy design which was initially modeled in 1990 by industrial designer Richard Sapper based on the concept of a traditional Japanese Bento lunchbox revealing its nature only after being opened. According to later interviews with Sapper, he also characterized the simple ThinkPad form to be as elementary as a simple, black cigar box and with similar proportions that offers a ‘surprise’ when opened.
