PTCL has extended its unconditional and complete support to the IT companies impacted due to the devastating fire at Software Technology Park (STP-1) on 10th September. There were a large number of IT companies based at STP 1 in Islamabad which were affected due to this incident.

Under a set of immediate relief to the affected companies, PTCL has provided alternate routing of connectivity to Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). Now it has provided free office space free office space at its premises. This free office space will accommodate 150 seats/ workstations at PTCL Zero Point office.

In addition, PTCL has also offered free voice and data connectivity to IT companies along with preferential rates for Datacenter and Cloud services to support the business continuity requirements of affected IT companies.

Adnan Shahid, Chief Commercial Officer, PTCL said, “We at PTCL are extremely grieved on this incident, especially on the loss of life and property. We are relocating our staff on immediate basis to make office space available for the affected IT companies, so to reduce disruption to their businesses. Being an ICT services provider, IT business is very close to our heart and we will continue working with P@SHA to cater to the requirements of voice and data of all companies.”
