Huawei is not going to launch a mobile with Harmony OS this year

In the coming months, Huawei formally rejected that it intends to release a Harmony OS smartphone. Huawei’s senior vice president Vincent Yang spoke to a New York City media case and said that the Chinese manufacturer has no intentions this year to release an OS-built Harmony smartphone.

He stated, however, that the firm has launched other intelligent products such as TV and Smartwatch with the OS, both appearing on the field before the middle of 2019.

Vincent Yang said the company wants to

“maintain one standard, one ecosystem”

So phones on different platforms can’t be used.
If the scenario between the USA and China worsens and the firm is prohibited from trade with US counterparts, Harmony will be used as a back-up version.

Huawei is currently undergoing its second expansion for 90 days. Until a consensus is reached between the two countries during the continuing trade war.

We haven’t heard about the new Mate 30 Series yet by Huawei. Yang pointed to a new flagship with Android, without naming a real model. The managing director said, “you never understand” when it might occur. Although the business is not likely to release a Harmony powered device, considering the uncertainties between the financial powers.
