The marketing and sales leaders from Huawei around the world are preparing for a huge drop in smart phone sales following the trade ban in the USA, according to those individuals who know this. Experts predicted global deliveries between 40% and 60% less. Sales executives will monitor demand in various markets on an ongoing basis and adjust deliveries accordingly, but projections are for a fall in sales of between 40 and 60 million units. In addition, Honor will monitor its sales and may discontinue the 20-series of Honor before even launching it in most markets. The company will attempt to offset the sales decrease by targeting half of China’s smartphone market in 2019, while the company’s chief executive said the US constraints would only slow the development of Huawei slightly.
