GoDaddy acquires HEG

Host Europe Group Acquisition by GoDaddy

On April 3rd 2017, GoDaddy Inc. completed the acquisition of Host Europe Group. HEG (Host Europe Group) is one of Europe’s leading hosting firms. GoDaddy intends to integrate HEG’s Europe operations to form GoDaddy EMEA. Host Europe Group serves small businesses and web experts in Europe and has built a thriving business with more than 1.7 million customers.

GoDaddy Europe and HEG have combined forces in order to better serve small businesses and web experts in the European domain and web services market. The combined company has more than 70 million domains under management and more than 16 million customers worldwide.

GoDaddy powers the world’s largest cloud platform dedicated to small, independent ventures and by joining forces with HEG, GoDaddy has accelerated its existing presence in EMEA. GoDaddy’s mission is to give its customers the tools, insights and the people to transform their ideas and personal initiative into success as the place people come to name their idea, build a professional website, attract customers and manage their work. GoDaddy will also now take over operation of the World Hosting Days and NamesCon brands and conferences, and expects to continue to operate these brands independently and invest in their continued growth.

HEG’s brands (123 Reg, Heart Internet, Domain Factory, Host Europe, Paragon Group, Server4You, and Serverloft) will continue to operate independently and customers can contact customer support and access their services in the usual ways.

HEG maintains offices and data centre facilities in Germany, the U.K., France, Spain, Romania, and Bulgaria.
